We had Sierra's test for C.F. at OHSU today. It was rough. Despite the fact that the test was painless, she totally remembered her last visit there, and screamed the second the Dr. touched her arm. It took about an hour (most of the time she was screaming) and then we were told we may have to wait until Monday for the results. But at around 5:00 I got a call on my cell phone with great news! Her test was normal and she does not have Cystic Fibrosis. We had felt pretty confident that she did not. But somewhere it the pit of your stomach, you are scared to death when there is even a mention of anything that could be detrimental to your child. So we are very happy and relieved. Thank you for your prayers! We have a follow-up with her Gastro Dr. next week in Eugene. We sure hope she is done with tests for a while!
